Dating online is growing in popularity, and isnt facing the same stereotypes it was a few years ago. Everyone is using online dating tools, not just the lonely and desperate among us. If you are planning on using an online dating site to meet your special someone, you need to fill out your profile in a way that will attract your mate.

1. Fill it out fully. No one likes to click on a profile and see half of the fields left blank. Most of those questions are important, even if you dont know the reason why. If you dont know how to answer the question then go back to it once you do.
2. Add a photograph. Even if you arent photogenic, have a photo is essential. Without a photo people are going to think you have something to hide, so you might as well give them a few pictures to go on.
3. Be honest. If you love something say so, it will help you find the best match to you. However, try to drum up your best features. Dont say that you are a loner, or that you hate your smile. Just focus on what you do like about yourself.
4. Say what you are looking for. If you arent looking for a long distance relationship, let people know. There is no point in working to build a relationship if you arent willing to, at some point, make the trek to meet them.
5. Be positive! If you project a feeling of happiness and warmth, then people are going to want to be around you. Try to be uplifting in your profile, and in your chats with people. Dont bring down the conversation by talking about how horrible your life is.
