If you are sick of going on one bad date after another, perhaps it is time to change your date prescreening process. If you dont have one, now is the time to adopt one. No one ever said you had to accept every date that came your way. It is time to get pickier about who you go out with, my friends.

Dont date married people. Just dont do it, even if they say they are separated, run away from the situation. You dont want to get mixed up with a married person. If they arent separated, then by dating you they could lose everything in their life. Are you going to be there to pick up the pieces? If they leave their partner for you, you are going to feel the pressure. Not to mention once the divorce is final, and you go through all of that mess with them, what is to stop them from leaving you? Being legally joined didnt stop them from betraying their last partner. If they say they are separated, tell them you will talk to them again when they are divorced.

Avoid the possessive lover. It is often hard to tell at first if they are going to be possessive. Things might be going great, and you will probably think you hit the jack pot. However, once you get into the relationship, they start asking about your friends, where youve been, and who you were seeing. They are quick to anger and jealous of trivial things. They call you too much, and get very defensive if you dont answer. If any of this happens, run in the other direction. This is a path you dont want to travel down. Unless you enjoy the idea of giving up everything about your life, and being controlled to the hilt, then by all means, go for it.

There are plenty more people to avoid, so keep your eyes open! Look for things that dont fit into your life or that are going to cause problems later on. Try to find someone who shares your interests and who is in a position to love you.
